Introduction
Preliminary timetable can be found here
An International Summer School on Educational Technology will
be held at the Mekrijärvi Research Station of the University
of Joensuu, in the easternmost community in Finland, some 70 km
from the town of Joensuu. The Summer School in Mekrijärvi belongs
to the group of summer school events organized within the theme
of educational technology.
The summer school offers an excellent opportunity for an intensive
week of working with Phd students and research fellows with various
academic backgrounds. The summer school is a forum for meeting new
people and for getting acquainted with them. It is also a place
to foster collaboration between scholars.
This is the fourth time the summer school will be organized in
Mekrijärvi. In previous years, PhD students and fellow academics
from different parts of the world have been mentored by lecturers
such as Dr. Piet Kommers (University of Twente), Dr. Looi-Chee Kit
(National University of Singapore), Prof. Kinshuk (Massey University),
Dr. Wolfram Laaser (Fern Universität), Dr. Esko Kähkönen
(University of Joensuu), and Prof. Erkki Sutinen (University of
Joensuu).
