Alice workshop, aka 3D game programming workshop, has been developed by the Jeliot team at the Computer Science Dpt of the University of Joensuu. The workshop helped kids to design and create 3D playable games or 3D animation movies. They chose from a set of characters (e.g., mummies, bunnies,...) and objects (e.g., trees), and construct a game (e.g., catch the bunny) or a movie (e.g., samurai fight). Kids got acquainted with concepts of objects, methods and events.
Alice 2.0: Introductory Concepts and Techniques by Gary B. Shelly, Thomas J. Cashman, Charles W. Herbert.
If you have created a world during SciFest you will find here soon. The material that was prepared for the workshop will be here as well.
