Stimuli and readiness

For the participating seniors, the Club offers both entertainment and chance to gain and experience new technologies. Using ICT in an educationally supportive and cooperative atmosphere helps the seniors to approach new technology with an open mind. They learn that the technology does not control them, but in fact it is they who control technology. In this way they learn many possible ways in which technology can be harnessed for their own individual needs. The participants in the Seniors' Club can also take part in design and creation of technology to suit any of their own particular requirements. This prepares them for a fully competent role in the information society, as well as providing them with many new stimuli and interests. And most importantly, the Seniors' Club is not about hard work and studies, it is about having fun together.
